Hartmut Giesecke is Chairman of the Board of our Japanese investment management subsidiary, Capital International K.
K., and Managing Director Asia-Pacific, Capital Group International, Inc. He is also a Senior Vice President and a Director of Capital International Research, Inc. and Capital International, Inc.
Mr. Giesecke joined Geneva- based Capital International S.
A. in 1972 as a financial analyst.
After spending eight years in Los Angeles, he moved to Japan in 1982 to open our organization's Tokyo office.
In the fall of 1992, he transferred to Singapore.
Dividing his time between the Tokyo and Singapore offices, he continues to work as an international and emerging markets portfolio manager while maintaining his management responsibilities in Japan.
He received a Master of Economics degree from Freiburg University, Germany, and an MBA from Columbia University Graduate School of Business.
