Prior to joining The Angels' Forum, Mr. Berkowitz was Executive Vice President of MJB Co., a privately held manufacturer and distributor of coffee, tea and rice products as well as a manufacturer of metal and plastic containers.
His startup experience began at Thermalux, a company that commercialized technology developed at the Lawrence Berkeley Laboratories of the University of California, Berkeley.
Mr. Berkowitz has served as a director of Rolling Stone Magazine, Computer Synergy, and MJB Co. He presently serves on the Board of Pacific Sun and is an advisor to several portfolio companies of The Angels' Forum.
He is a Commissioner of the Asian Art Commission for the City of San Francisco, and has been President of the Pacific Coast Coffee Association and the San Francisco Jewish Community Center.
He earned an M.S.
degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a B.S.
degree from Purdue University, both in Chemical Engineering.
