His main research areas are financial stability, banking and macro-prudential policy; pension funds/economic impact of population ageing; policy-related applied macroeconomic research and analysis; the application of biblical theology to economic issues.
He has been a Principal Research Fellow at NIESR since 2009.
After spending 20 years at the Bank of England, with spells on secondment to the BIS and ECB, Mr. Davis was a Visiting Fellow at NIESR from 2000 to 2009, during which he was also Professor of Economics and Finance at Brunel University.
He holds a MA (Politics, Philosophy and Economics) and MPhil (Economics) from Oxford, and a BA (Theology) from London School of Theology.
