Mr. Derek B.
Bloom, CFA MBA, is Senior Vice President & Portfolio Manager at Nuveen Asset Management LLC.
He is a member of the investment teams responsible for a number of the firm’s quantitative products, including co-manager of the Tactical Market Opportunities Strategy since its inception in 2009 and co-manager of various Asset Allocation Strategies since 2013.
Mr. Bloom began working in the financial services industry in 2002 and joined Nuveen in 2011.
Previously, he acquired six years of technical industry experience in analytical engineering and internet application consulting.
Mr. Bloom graduated from the University of North Dakota where he earned a B.S.
He also earned an M.B.A.
from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management and an M.S.
in Operations Research: Methods in Finance from Columbia University.
In addition to being a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Minnesota, he also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
