Mr. Craig T.
Mason is a Trustee at Houston Municipal Employees Pension System and a Trustees at Houston Police Officers Pension System.
Prior to that time, he worked from 1971 to 2000 with William M.
Mercer, Inc., as a management consultant with actuarial expertise.
He advised employers on the design, implementation, administration, and funding of their employee benefit and compensation programs with the primary focus being on both qualified and nonqualified deferred compensation plans.
He served on Mercer’s national committee to develop internal continuation education curriculum and chaired a regional continuation education conference.
He worked for Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co, as Actuary/Consultant from 1968 to 1970.
Mr. Mason served a 3-year term on the Board of Directors of the Southwest Pension Conference and 12 years on the Board of Directors of Junior Achievement of Southwest Texas (5 years as Secretary of the Executive Committee).
He served one term on the Board of Directors of the Harris County Dispute Resolution Center.
Mr. Mason has a degree from Texas Christian University and is a Credentialed Mediator by the Texas Mediator Credentialing Association.
When active as a consultant, he is a member of the American Academy of Actuaries and an Enrolled Actuary.
