Chris J. Pietersen

Christopher Pietersen, an Analyst based General Atlantic LLC's London office, is focused on European Prospecting and Portfolio initiatives.
He has background in the areas of Telecommunications, Financial Services, as well as Consumer and Marketing Services.
Prior to joining General Atlantic, Mr. Pietersen was a member of Digitas’s Strategy and Analysis Group, which provides strategic consulting services to a diverse group of Fortune 500 clients.
Prior to Digitas, he worked in the Corporate Finance Division of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in the UK, where he focused on emerging technologies in the European Biotechnology Sector.
Mr. Pietersen is a 2001 graduate of Tulane University, where he graduated from the Murphy Institute with a BA in Political Economy.
Subsequently, he sat in residence at Cambridge University, where he focused on the impact of developing political and economic initiatives across the European Union.
Mr. Pietersen is involved in Big Brothers of America, the Surfrider Foundation (an international environmental group), as well as various philanthropies in his native homeland of South Africa.
