Chetun Patel

Mr. Chetun Patel is a Head of Strategy at Mariana UFP LLP.
Mr. Patel began working life as a Liquidity Trader, balancing the books on 36 currencies straddling three different time zones and trading short-term interest-rate products including FX swaps.
In 1998, he undertook the JPM mini MBA programme in NY after which he was offered a placement with US Treasury Proprietary desk.
He worked on a risk management tool that helped identify the curve risk that the desk was exposed to, as well becoming the Global Economic Analyst on the desk.
On returning to the UK, he worked on the issuance desk, helping to raise money at the most efficient levels for the holding company.
Subsequently, he moved to the Equity Derivatives area working on the Structured Finance desk packaging tax efficient structures for clients.
During this role, Mr. Patel also traded the Rho and FX risk for the Equity Derivatives group which culminated in being placed within the Equity Derivatives Proprietary desk as the Global Macro Trader.
He received his MA in Contemporary British Political History at Queen Mary University.
