Bruce Potts

Mr. Bruce Potts is a Head of APAC Diversified Credit at IFM Investors Pty Ltd.
He is responsible for joint management of key credit portfolios, credit product strategies and the day-to-day running of debt funds, including jointly managing the IFM Specialised Credit Fund (SCF).
He has been involved in SCF since its inception in 1999 and has controlled SCF’s asset allocation, implemented of its investment policy, and overseen its investments.
Prior to joining IFM Investors, Mr. Potts was the portfolio manager in charge of credit investments at AllianceBernstein.
Prior to this, he held various positions within National Mutual (later National Mutual Funds Management) where he was involved in a range of treasury and investment operations and direct portfolio management of client funds, focusing on short-end and structured assets.
As a credit specialist, Mr. Potts was closely engaged in the evolving asset backed securities market (including RMBS), across the credit risk spectrum.
He also has considerable experience investing in hybrids as well as PPP assets, particularly for backing annuity liabilities.
In his early career, he was an academic at Monash University in the fields of economics, taxation and business finance.
