Profile
Mr. Rowe retired as Chairman of GE Aircraft Engines in 1995.
As President and CEO of GE Aircraft Engines and Senior VP of the General Electric Company from 1979 - 1993, he and his team grew the business from $2B to $8B in sales.
Mr. Rowe is a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society and the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and a member of the National Academy of Engineering.
He was awarded the Legion D'Honneur by the French Government in 1985.
He was also awarded an Honorary Degree of Doctor in Science and Technology from the University of Cincinnati in 1987.
In 1995 he was inducted into the GEAE Propulsion Hall of Fame.
Mr. Rowe is a past president of the AIAA and former member of the NAE Finance Committee.
He also served on the FAA RE&D Advisory Committee and the Defense Science Board.
