Mr. Alexander Karpov is a Managing Director & Portfolio Manager at GAIA Capital Advisors SA. He has spent more than 17 years as Fund Manager for European Emerging Markets, having launched and managed several well-known mutual (UniEMOsteuropa, UniEMGlobal, VB Osteuropafonds BKG) and institutional funds at leading asset management companies in Germany.
As Head of Global Emerging Markets at Union Investment Privatfonds GmbH in Frankfurt, he built one of the most experienced, successful and respected Global Emerging Market teams in Continental Europe.
He was directly responsible for AUM exceeding USD 4.5 bn.
Mr. Karpov holds a degree in Business Administration and Engineering from the Munich University of Applied Sciences.
