real estate opportunities.
He is involved in the acquisition and oversight of Carlyle’s investments in the New York City metropolitan area.
He also is currently pursuing investment opportunities in the golf course sector nationwide.

Prior to joining Carlyle, Mr. Troup was an Associate in the Real Estate Finance Group at the Chase Manhattan Bank in New York and was with Chemical Bank prior to the merger.
While there, he worked on the team created to facilitate the sale of the Bank’s distressed real estate debt and REO through bulk sale and single asset sale transactions.
Mr. Troup also assisted in the development of the Bank’s real estate securitization unit.
His other real estate experience includes employment at GA Partners/Arthur Andersen and the Trammell Crow Company.

from Texas A&M University and an M.B.A.
