Prior to joining Novak Biddle in October 2006, Ms. Marel worked for the CFO of The MITRE Corporation, providing support to the incoming CFO as well as the retiree.
She also played a role in researching geriatric depression and depressive symptomotology in post-traumatic stress disorder patients for a medical research study.
Ms. Marel earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from The College of Charleston, where she graduated cum laude.
She is fluent in Russian and French.
