John Murray Allan is a British businessperson who has been at the head of 11 different companies and currently occupies the position of Non-Executive Chairman for Barratt Developments Plc and Non-Executive Chairman for Tesco Plc. He is also on the board of Natakate Ltd. and Vice President of Confederation of British Industry. Mr. Allan previously held the position of Chairman at London First, Chief Financial Officer for Deutsche Post AG Chief Executive Officer for Ocean Group Plc, Chief Executive Officer at Exel Plc and Chief Financial Officer of Deutsche Post World Net AG (which are all subsidiaries of Deutsche Post AG), Member-Supervisory Board at Deutsche Lufthansa AG, Principal at Bristol Myers Co. Ltd., Chairman for Samsonite LLC, Chairman for Care UK Health & Social Care Holdings Ltd., Chairman of Dixons Retail Group Ltd., Non-Executive Director at Worldpay Ltd., Retail Director-Marketing, Buying & Retail at Fine Fare Ltd., Principal at Lever Brothers Co. and Chairman for The DHL UK Foundation. He received an undergraduate degree from The University of Edinburgh.
