Zumtobel AG : Alfred Felder appointed new Tridonic CEO

Dornbirn / Austria - Effective November 1, Alfred Felder
(49) is to become the new Chief Executive Officer of
Tridonic. He succeeds Walter Ziegler, who left the company
in January.
Alfred Felder has a comprehensive knowledge of the field of
opto-semiconductors and has acquired decades of management
experience with prominent players in the electronics
industry. In his career to date he has worked for several
years in each of Japan, the US and China. Since 2003, he
has filled various management roles in the areas of OLED
and LED technology with Osram, where as Senior Vice
President Sales he is currently responsible for Osram's
worldwide general lighting sales activities.
Alfred Felder was born and raised in the South Tyrol,
gained his doctorate in Electrical Engineering from the
Technical University of Vienna and launched his career in
1990 as project manager in the R&D department at Siemens.
He stayed with the company until 2003, holding a range of
specialist and management functions, not least at Siemens
central R&D department in Germany, with Infineon in Japan
and in the field of ceramic materials and components in
Germany. In September 2003 Alfred Felder moved to join
Osram within the Siemens Group.
