This year, Zorlu Enerji published an Integrated Annual Report for the first time. Zorlu Enerji's 2021 Integrated Annual Report transparently shares the company's economic data, plans, and performance in creating sustainable value with its stakeholders. The report sets out the roadmap for the company's economic, environmental, and social goals.

Publishing an integrated Annual Report, Zorlu Enerji shared the actual outputs of its operations in 2021, its plans, goals, and sustainable value creation. Zorlu Enerji's Integrated Annual Report is prepared with an integrated perspective within the framework recommended by the International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC). The report also complies with the International Integrated Reporting Framework and the GRI Standards of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI).

The report indicates economic, environmental, social, and governance performance

Zorlu Enerji demonstrated its economic, environmental, social, and governance performance for 2021 to its stakeholders with its integrated annual report. It is the first integrated annual report of its subsidiaries in Turkey. The study also includes the company's activity report for the board of directors for the 12 months -between January 1 and December 31, 2021. The report also includes financial and non-financial data of Zorlu Enerji and its domestic subsidiaries and financial data of its subsidiaries and affiliates abroad. In addition, the report covers the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) and Women's Empowerment Principles (WEP's) progress statements, of which Zorlu Enerji is a signatory to commit.

Elif Yener, CFO of Zorlu Enerji, stated that the sustainability reporting prepared periodically in the past years has started to be published in an integrated annual report, including the annual report and the activity report for the board of directors. She continued: "Our company focuses on creating value. Therefore, it is one of our essential priorities to share the efforts and value we created financially and in terms of environmental, social, and governance transparently with our stakeholders.

Through our integrated annual report that we will publish every year, we will share with our stakeholders the results of the steps taken towards these goals and the targets we have set. We lead our sector with the first-of-its-kind projects we carried out. This integrated annual report is also a first in our sector. We focus on increasing our environmental, social, and corporate governance performance and maintaining our leading company position in the sector, especially with our sustainability activities. Thus, we believe that this report will be an essential source of motivation for all our stakeholders and us. Behind all these efforts in the report are our valuable stakeholders, especially our colleagues. We will continue to create value for all our stakeholders and differentiate ourselves with the firsts we have achieved in our sector."
