After extreme weather events that ravaged Slovenia last weekend, the regular business activities of insurance companies are of paramount importance. That's why on Monday, 14 August 2023, the services of Zavarovalnica Triglav will also be available, despite the public holiday that has been declared to help deal with the effects of the storms. In particular, it is important that all procedures for recording and assessing damage continue. However, the insurance company advises customers who have yet to report their claim to do so remotely.

On Monday, 14 August, all regional head offices of Zavarovalnica Triglav will be open (in Celje, Kranj, Krško, Koper, Ljubljana, Maribor, Nova Gorica, Novo mesto, Murska Sobota, Postojna, Slovenj Gradec and Trbovlje), along with representative offices in Medvode, Domžale, Kamnik, Litija, Žalec, Laško, Velenje, Mozirje, Škofja Loka, Radovljica, Tržič as well as Ravne na Koroškem and Jesenice. More detailed information on locations and opening times is available on the Triglav.si website. Following the recent storms and floods that have hit Slovenia, all available appraisers and other associates of the insurance company will also be on the ground on this day to take stock of and assess the damage.

There's no need to rush with filing claims
Although taking stock and assessing damage have been taking place since the previous weekend in areas where it is safe and possible to do so, customers do not need to rush to report damage in these cases. It is important that they take care of their own safety first. Then they can easily report the damage remotely. To do so, they can use the Triglav.si website, as well as the i.triglav digital office and the free phone number at 080 555 555 (claims can be reported every working day from 08:00 to 16:00, and general information is provided until 18:00). Policyholders can always contact their insurance agent for help in filing a claim.

Claims will be dealt with more quickly with the right supporting documents
Claims will be settled more quickly if policyholders provide certain key supporting documents so that the insurance company can establish the basis for payment and calculate the amount of insurance benefit due. When reporting damage, customers are therefore asked to provide as many photographs as possible of the damage inside the building and of the flooded, damaged and destroyed items, as well as documentation and a list of damaged items. If it is safe and possible, they should store the damaged items until the appraiser arrives. If, for various reasons, they do not have such items at the time of the appraisal (either they were unable to store them or they were carried away by the floods), the insurance company will estimate the damage on the basis of the list of damaged items and photographs.

Detailed information on how to report damage is also available on this website.
