UPDATE ON RECENT PROFIT WARNING

This announcement is made by Yorkey Optical International (Cayman) Ltd. (the "Company" and together with its subsidiaries, the "Group") pursuant to Rule 13.09 of The Rules Governing the Listing of Securities on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (the "Listing Rules") and the Inside Information Provisions under Part XIVA of the Securities and Futures Ordinance (Cap. 571 of the Laws of Hong Kong).

IMPORTANT

The financial information of the Group for the six months ended 30 June 2020 set out in this announcement has not been audited. As financial results are subject to fluctuations and are affected by a number of factors, the Group's financial results for any past period should not be taken as indicative of the Group's expected performance for any future period.

Shareholders of the Company ("Shareholders") and potential investors are advised to exercise caution when dealing in the shares of the Company.

Reference is made to the Company's profit warning announcement dated 19 June 2020 (the "Profit Warning Announcement"). Unless otherwise defined in this announcement, capitalised terms used herein shall have the meaning given to them in the Profit Warning Announcement.

The board of directors of the Company (the "Board") wishes to inform the Shareholders and potential investors that, an update on the Profit Warning Announcement. Based on the preliminary review of the unaudited management accounts of the Group for the six months ended 30 June 2020 and the information currently available to the Group, the Group is expected to record a revenue of approximately US$19,450,000 for the six months ended 30 June 2020, representing a decrease of approximately 35.4% as compared to US$30,100,000 for the corresponding period of the previous year. The consolidated profit for the six months ended 30 June 2020 was approximately US$309,000, representing a decrease of approximately 86.2% as compared to US$2,236,000 for the corresponding period of the previous year, which was mainly attributable to the factors stated in the Profit Warning Announcement.

The information contained in this announcement is only based on the preliminary review of the unaudited management accounts of the Group for the six months ended 30 June 2020 which have not been audited or reviewed by the auditors of the Company by the Board with reference to the information currently available to the Group. The Board wishes to emphasize that the interim results of the Group for the six months ended 30 June 2020 will be affected by many factors, including but not limited to the audit or review adjustments which may be made by the Company's auditors. Details of any further information on the above matters will be announced and disclosed in a separate announcement in respect of the interim results of the Company as at 30 June 2020 (which is expected to be published in August 2020).
