WindForce PLC announced that on May 31, 2024 Suryashakthi (Pvt) Limited signed a Power Purchase Agreement for the development of the 10MW Vavunathivu II Solar Power Project in Bafticaloa. Suryashakthi(Pvt) Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary ofSolar Universe (Pvt) Limited, a joint venture between Vidullanka PLC, WindForce PLC, and HiEnergy Services (Pvt) Ltd. The Vavunathivu 2 Solar Power Project is expected to attract an investment of approximately INR 2.2 billion.

Its segments include Wind, Solar, Hydro, Overseas, Holding, and Automotive. Its wind power plants/projects include Seguwantivu, Powergen, Beta Power, Joule Power and Hiruras Power. The Company's solar plants/projects include Solar One, Vydexa, Suryadhanavi, Sunny Clime and Hirujanani. Its hydro power plants/projects include Energy Reclamation, Terraqua International, Gurugoda Hydro, and Terraqua Kokawita.
