WESTPAC PURCHASE AND CANCELLATION OF MEDIUM TERM NOTES

Westpac has today purchased and cancelled the following medium term notes pursuant to the termsand conditions of such notes issued under Westpac's domestic Debt Issuance Programme:

• Series 2014-1-A$10,800,000 Floating Rate Notes due 25 February 2019 (ISIN: AU000WBCHBB5) issued under the Pricing Supplements dated 18 February 2014 and 25 January 2016, of which A$1,467,400,000 remains outstanding after this purchase and cancellation;

• Series 2014-2-A$50,000,000 Fixed Rate Notes due 25 February 2019 (ISIN: AU000WBCHBC3) issued under the Pricing Supplement dated 18 February 2014, of which A$1,050,000,000 remains outstanding after this purchase and cancellation; and

• Series 2016-2-A$294,500,000 Floating Rate Notes due 10 May 2019 (ISIN: AU3FN0030490) issued under the Pricing Supplements dated 9 March 2016 and 21 March 2016, of which A$1,892,800,000 remains outstanding after this purchase and cancellation.
