Western Marine Shipyard Limited announced that it has signed an agreement for building two container ships for two local enterprises Neepa Paribahan Ltd. and Mir & Islam Enterprise. Each ship with the capacity of carrying 160 TEUs of container will be operating between Chittagong Port and Pangaon Inland Container Terminal (PICL). Each of these ships will cost BDT 25 million.
They have been designed uniquely for the inland and coastal route of Bangladesh.
