WEST SHORE BANK COMPLETES 14TH ANNUAL SPIRIT OF GIVING FUNDRAISER -

SUPPORTING COMMUNITY MEMBERS IN NEED

LUDINGTON, MI - West Shore Bank is pleased to announce our 14th annual Spirit of Giving Fundraiser raised $9,655 to help families and individuals in Benzie, Grand Traverses, Mason, Manistee and Ocean Counties. Since September, the fundraiser has collected funds from employees, community members and businesses. West Shore Bank proudly matched these funds for an additional $1,000 in each County to increase the impact within each community.

"Making a difference in our communities is not just a tagline, it's something we have and always will take very seriously," said Raymond Biggs, President and CEO of West Shore Bank. "Fundraising each holiday season is one of our favorite ways to give back right here in our own neighborhoods."

Those who donated had the choice to donate to help fight hunger through local pantry support or another County specific non-profit focused on supporting families in various ways in each community. This year, West Shore Bank staff and the community helped by donating to the following:

Benzie County: The Benzie Senior Resources to help the elderly population sustain and remain in their households with a donation of $690 and $820 to the Benzie Area Christian Neighbors (BACN) to help the pantry with expenses to feed the community.

Grand Traverse County: Safe Harbor to provide funds to shelter people experiencing homelessness with a donation of $1,420 and $965 to Father Fred Food Foundation to help the pantry with expenses to feed the community.

Mason County: Habitat for Humanity to help create a safe environment to keep families together with a donation of $525; eight local food pantries including Lakeshore Food Club, Cornerstone Baptist Church, COVE, Caritas Food Pantry,

FIVECAP, Bachelor Evangelical Covenant Church, Freesoil and Fountain United Methodist Church and Fountain Community Center with a combined donation of $2,210.

Manistee County: The Armory Youth Project to help support a safe environment where young children can build a community with a donation of $540 and $990 to the Salvation Army to help the pantry with expenses to feed the community.

Oceana County: The Crystal Valley Care Fund helping community friends and neighbors who live in Oceana County, whose lives have been disrupted due to life-threatening illnesses or fire with a donation of $250 and $1245 to Trinity Lutheran Food Pantry, St. Gregory's Bread of Life Food Pantry and Walkerville Wesleyan to help the pantries with expenses to feed the community.

West Shore Bank continues to make a real difference by supporting our community members through a wide array of bankwide efforts and initiatives. For more information on the donations raised from this year's fundraiser, visit https://www.westshorebank.com/about-us/spirit-of-giving.html.
