WesBanco, Inc. announced earnings results for the fourth quarter ended December 31, 2019. For the fourth quarter, the company announced net interest income was USD 106.964 million compared to USD 101.767 million a year ago. Net income was USD 36.376 million compared to USD 43.928 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share was USD 0.6 compared to USD 0.8 a year ago. For the full year, net interest income was USD 399.904 million compared to USD 347.236 million a year ago. Net income was USD 158.873 million compared to USD 143.112 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share was USD 2.83 compared to USD 2.93 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share was USD 2.83 compared to USD 2.92 a year ago.
Wesbanco, Inc. is a bank holding company and a financial holding company. The Company offers a full range of financial services, including retail banking, corporate banking, personal and corporate trust services, brokerage services, mortgage banking and insurance. The Company has two segments: community banking and trust and investment services. The community banking segment offers services traditionally offered by full-service commercial banks, including commercial demand, individual demand and time deposit accounts, as well as commercial, mortgage and individual installment loans, and certain non-traditional offerings, such as insurance and securities brokerage services. The trust and investment services segment offers trust services as well as various alternative investment products including mutual funds.
