Weingarten Realty Investors announced the promotions of William Coats to Regional Vice President /New Development, Alexander Evans to Area Vice President /Leasing and Scott Henson to Regional Vice President /Construction. Bill joined Weingarten in 2008 as Regional Director of Development in the Atlanta office. As part of WRI’s Growth team, Bill handled both development and acquisitions in the Company’s Mid-Atlantic region. In addition to his responsibilities in Growth, Bill is currently leading the Project Management and Development teams for the Company’s two large, mixed-use developments in Northern Virginia, West Alex and Centro Arlington. Alex joined Weingarten in 2007 as a summer intern in the Atlanta regional office while attending the Terry School of Business at the University of Georgia. In 2008, Evan joined WRI full time as a Property Manager in the Orlando office after graduating with a degree in Real Estate. Alex is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and holds his Florida Real Estate Sales License. Scott began his career at Weingarten in 2014 as Regional Director of Construction for the Western Region. He was instrumental in the successful completion of all work required for retail at The Whitaker in West Seattle, including the Whole Foods and small shop retail. Scott is currently leading the construction effort for the Company’s Cambrian redevelopment project in San Jose, along with design and construction responsibilities for the Western Region and Florida.
