5.Cause of occurrence:
The Company discloses the important content and progress of
lawsuits related to its oil products in accordance with the
requirement stipulated in the official letter issued by
Taiwan Stock Exchange on February 21, 2017.
6.Countermeasures:
For the lawsuit filed by the Consumers�� Foundation against
the Company over the use of lard oils imported from Vietnam
by Ting Hsin Oil & Fat Industrial Co., Ltd. and provided by
Cheng-I Food Co., Ltd. for compensation, the Taiwan Taipei
District Court has ruled in the first instance that the
Company did not need to offer compensation. After an appeal
was filed by the Consumers�� Foundation, the Taiwan High
Court still ruled on August 13, 2019 that the Company did
not have to offer compensation. However, the Consumers��
Foundation refused to accept the judgment and has filed
another appeal. On 19 January 2022, the Company received
the main text of the Supreme Court judgment rejecting the
Consumers Foundation's appeal against the Company, and the
Company's determination of no compensation has been
determined. The judgment in this case did not adversely
affect the Company's financial business.
