Volati has acquired all shares in Gunnar Prefab AB, a leading producer and supplier of prefabricated concrete products intended primarily for infrastructure. The acquisition, which is an add-on acquisition for the S:t Eriks platform, strengthens S:t Eriks’ offering in barrier elements and foundations, as well as its existing operations. Gunnar Prefab reported annual sales of approximately SEK 81 million in 2022.

Gunnar Prefab is a Swedish family company, founded in 1995 and headquartered in Rättvik. With its experienced and expert staff, the company has built up a strong position in the market for traffic products and barrier elements, including the company’s proprietary GPLINK barrier. The company also produces foundations. Gunnar Prefab and S:t Eriks complement each other well and the acquisition will strengthen S:t Eriks’ existing product range, customer base and areas of expertise.

"I am delighted that we have had the opportunity to acquire Gunnar Prefab. The acquisition is well aligned with S:t Eriks’ growth strategy and will strengthen our offering in several interesting niche areas. Gunnar Prefab is a well-managed company and we see good opportunities to grow the business and increase our market share in prefabricated concrete products for infrastructure,” says Magnus Ström, CEO of S:t Eriks.

Growth through acquisitions is an important part of Volati’s strategy to create long-term value growth. The ambition is to develop the Company’s businesses into larger and stronger platforms through organic growth, operational improvements and add-on acquisitions, both in the Nordic region and the rest of Europe.

The acquisition has been financed through Volati’s existing credit facilities, with immediate access to the shares.
