Voice Assist, Inc. announced that its mobile app for Android phones is beginning to gain traction. Voice Assist for Android provides a safe driving application that lets drivers use voice commands to call, email, text and post to social networks like Twitter and Facebook without typing. The user interface was optimized for productive safe driving with the ability to issue command after command without the need to hold the phone or press buttons repeatedly.

International Data Corporation (IDC) forecasted worldwide sales of new mobile phones this year to be approximately 1.8 billion phones. IDC projects Android will remain the most shipped smartphone operating system over the course of their five-year forecast with 61% market-share projected for 2012.
