In its first annual Top Workplaces Awards, The Washington Post honors Beltsville-based public relations and marketing software provider Vocus

Vocus, Inc. a leading provider of cloud-based public relations and marketing software, today announced it was selected as one of The Washington Post's Top Workplaces.

Winning companies received the highest ratings from their employees based on a survey conducted by independent research firm WorkplaceDynamics, LLP.

"The company's headquarters in Beltsville is designed to resemble a small city, complete with cafes, a radio station, clock tower and bookstore," said The Washington Post reporter Sarah Halzack. "Health and wellness amenities are central to the company. An annual fair provides employees with free health screenings. There's also an on-site gym and basketball court, and a spa where employees can slip away for some needed rest and relaxation."

"The productivity of our people is entirely related to the experience they have at work," said Chief Human Resources Officer Holly Paul in an interview given to The Washington Post. "That's why creating Vocus Town and building this culture was always so important to us."

Vocus was honored alongside other recipients at an awards gala on June 19, 2014. The complete list of Top Workplace winners was published in The Washington Post on June 22, 2014.
