ValueCommerce Co., Ltd. (the "Company") introduced a system for strengthening initiatives to tackle violations of the Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Act (the "PMD Act") in collaboration with partner Momentum, Inc. ("Momentum") as an ad verification measure.
The system is specifically designed to identify PMD Act violations, combining evaluation data based on ValueCommerce's own advertisement editorial guidelines with a data source provided by Yakujihou.com, which, in collaboration with Momentum, has been providing consulting services in the health care sector for many years and also provides a PMD Act-related ad checking service and also incorporating Momentum's own natural language analysis mechanism.
Use of the recently developed PMD Act filter to identify and filter content before it is examined by ValueCommerce will lead to further improvements in network quality and expansion in the scope of examination. ValueCommerce is committed to instituting a wide range of initiatives besides this latest one, to address various internet ad quality issues including violations of the Act against Unjustifiable Premiums and Misleading Representations. In doing so, it aims to create a market which internet users and advertisers can use with peace of mind.
