VAIL, Colo. - Jan. 17, 2012 - Skiers and snowboarders were eager to load the lifts and take advantage of nearly a foot of fresh powder snow that fell across Colorado throughout the day on Monday and into the night. Vail Mountain, the largest ski resort in the United States, received 10 inches from Monday morning to Tuesday morning whileBeaver Creekreceived nine, Breckenridgefive and Keystone four.

Operations crews are continuing to evaluate conditions and hope to open additional terrain including portions of Vail's Back Bowls soon.

Beaver Creek Food & Wine Weekend, Jan. 26-28
