UNIPOLSAI TO SUPPORT THE INITIATIVE "TRENO DEI BAMBINI" AND THE BOOK "NOI SU QUESTA TERRA CHE BALLA…A PROPOSITO DI TERREMOTI"

This morning Mr. Pierluigi Stefanini, Chairman of Unipol Group, took part in the presentation of the fifth edition of the initiative "Treno dei bambini", promoted by Cortile dei Gentili, and of the book "Noi su questa terra che balla ...a proposito di terremoti" (We on This Dancing Ground... About Earthquakes). The conference was hosted by the Pontifical Council for Culture at Via della Conciliazione 5 at 11 am. Among other guests, Cardinal Gianfranco Ravasi, President of the Pontifical Council for Culture, and Mr. Pietro Grasso, Chairman of the (Italian) Senate, took part in the event. The book "Noi su questa terra che balla…a proposito di terremoti", published by L'Io e il mondo di TJ and presented during the press conference, addresses the issue of earthquakes with a language appropriate to children.

The volume, with a contribution from Renzo Piano, Senator for life, and several experts, provides a short practical guide to deal with earthquakes. The book, which has received the Patronage of the Senate of the Italian Republic, will be delivered to Pope Francis on 3 June by children from the earthquake areas of central Italy participating in the initiative "Treno dei Bambini".

UnipolSai will be supporting the project, and on the occasion of "Festa dei Bimbi in ufficio" (Take Your Children to Work Day) scheduled for May 25 at the offices of the Group companies, the employees' children visiting their parents' workplace will also be involved in a playful / educational initiative that will lead them to reflect on the earthquake and its consequences. On that occasion, Unipol will be handing out the book being presented at the press conference today to the children. By contributing to the creation of the booklet and promoting its dissemination, including through its agencies, Unipol intends to give a further tangible sign of its close engagement with the earthquake victims, which falls within the framework of the actions announced by Unipol on 26 August for the benefit of the people affected by the earthquake and of its policyholders. Among the many initiatives, the Group also plans to visit the elementary school of Loro Piceno, rebuilt with a donation of more than €1m, the result of the fundraising effort of employees and agents with a contribution from the Company, to bring pupils a message of closeness and solidarity.
