Las Vegas Railway Express, Inc. announced that John McPherson has been elected Chairman of the Board. Former Chairman Gil Lamphere remains on the board as Director. Mr. McPherson joined the Board of Directors of CSX Corporation in July 2008.

He served as President and COO of Florida East Coast Railway.
