SMALL-CAP - WINNERS

UP Global Sourcing Holdings PLC, up 11% at 163.18 pence, 12-month range 90p-206p. The owner of homeware brands makes gains ahead of its ex-dividend payment date next Thursday. Last month, UP, which stands for Ultimate Products, lifted its annual payout by 42% to 7.12p for its financial year that ended July 31, with the final dividend of 4.82p due on January 27.

SMALL-CAP - LOSERS

Hochschild Mining PLC, down 0.4% at 69.94p, 12-month range 50.40p-151.00p. The precious metals company says it awaiting a decision from the Peruvian government for the Immaculada gold and silver mine in the Ayacucho department, Peru, relating to the site's modified environment assessment. It expects a decision in the first quarter of 2023. Immaculada consists of 40 mining concessions and is 100% owned by Hochschild Mining
