Twin Disc, Incorporated Announces Executive Changes, Effective from November 1, 2013

On June 21, 2013, the Board of Directors of Twin Disc, Incorporated elected John H. Batten to the position of President and Chief Executive Officer of the company effective November 1, 2013. The company's current Chief Executive Officer, Michael E. Batten will step down from his position as Chief Executive Officer of the company effective November 1, 2013, and will retire from the employment of the company effective December 31, 2013. After that date, Mr. Michael E. Batten will continue to serve as non-executive Chairman of the Board of Directors.
John H. Batten joined the company in 1996 as an application engineer and in 1998 was named Commercial Manager Marine Propulsion. He became Executive Vice President European Manufacturing & Marine and Propulsion Marketing in 2004. In 2008 he was promoted to the position of President Chief Operating Officer.
Twin Disc, Incorporated designs, manufactures and sells marine and heavy duty off highway power transmission equipment. The Company has two reportable segments: Manufacturing and Distribution. The Companyâs products offered include marine transmissions, azimuth drives, surface drives, propellers and boat management systems as well as power-shift transmissions, hydraulic torque converters, power take-offs, industrial clutches, controls systems and non-Twin Disc manufactured products. The Company sells its products to customers primarily in the pleasure craft, commercial and military marine markets, as well as in the energy and natural resources, government and industrial markets. The Company has manufacturing locations in the United States, Belgium, Italy, Switzerland, and the Netherlands. In addition to these countries, it has distribution locations in Singapore, China, Australia, and Japan.
