On January 9, 2024, Twilio Inc. reported that CEO and co-founder Jeff Lawson was stepping down from both the board and Company, a possible win for activist investor Anson Funds Management LP. The Company stated that Khozema Shipchandler, Company?s president, is replacing Jeff Lawson as CEO, and Jeff Epstein, a member of the Company?s board, is becoming chairman. In addition, Khozema Shipchandler said Monday that he is taking a fresh look at the areas of the business that are underperforming to realize the full potential of the business.
