Tokyo - Trina Solar Japan Co., Ltd. (Trina Solar or the 'Company'), a leading global PV and smart energy total solution provider had their Vertex Series DEG18MC.20(II) 500W module and TS012A portable storage battery adopted into the Nissan Motors Caravan Mountain Base Concept, which was exhibited at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2022.

The 40th Tokyo Auto Salon 2022 was held over a three day period from January 14-16 in Chiba Prefecture, Japan. 126,869 visitors attended.

The Caravan Mountain Base Concept was exhibited in the Nissan Motor Booth. The concept car can be used as a base for trail runners who can enjoy the outdoors and come home to a luxurious residential vehicle. It is based on the new Nissan Caravan, which was updated in October 2021.

The electrical appliances equipped in the van are powered by energy stored in the Trina Storage system, which is charged by a Trina Solar Vertex module on the roof. The Vertex module is mounted on a multi directional tracker, which orients the panel to the most efficient position facing the sun.

The Caravan Mountain Base Concept is also scheduled to be exhibited at the Osaka Automesse to be held at INTEX Osaka from February 11th to 13th.

In the future, Trina Solar plans to work with Nissan to continue to improve this vehicle to meet customer needs, including increasing the efficiency of photovoltaic power generation and building special integrated modules for the vehicle.
