TonenGeneral Sekiyu KK : Shimizu terminal participates in cleanup of Miho-Masaki coastline

The TonenGeneral Sekiyu K.K. (head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; representative: Jun Mutoh) Shimizu terminal (Shimizu-ku, Shizuoka City; manager: Toshihiko Okamoto) took part for the second consecutive year in a cleanup of the Miho-Masaki coastline, held by the Association for Environmental Safeguards of Shizuoka City, on June 4. Around 670 employees from 41 local businesses took part in the effort and collected a total of around 800 kg of litter.

Miho-no-Matsubara, where the Miho-Masaki coastline is located, is known as one of the three most beautiful pine groves in Japan and also as one of the nation's top three areas in terms of scenery. Miho-no-Matsubara was registered as part of the Mt. Fuji World Heritage site in 2013. An increase in automotive exhaust fumes and littering accompanying the upswing in tourism since that time is causing concern about possible damage to the area's pine trees, necessitating vigorous environmental preservation efforts.

TonenGeneral Sekiyu K.K. will continue to actively participate in social contribution activities.
