Toll : recognised for outstanding safety performance by PSA Singapore

Toll Global Logistics has been recognised by PSA Singapore (PSA) for outstanding safety performance in the provision of inter-gateway haulage (IGH) services, winning its annual Injury Free award for the second year in a row.

The Toll Global Logistics team in Singapore was presented with the IGH Injury Free award for providing container haulage services for PSA's transhipment operations at its terminals without a single injury incident during 2015.

Accepting the award on behalf of the team, Land Transport Manager Adrian Ong said that being recognised for operating without injury for two consecutive years was a point of pride for the business.

'At Toll, our commitment to safety is paramount - we continuously strive to bring value to our customers while operating safely and effectively, and are proud to celebrate two injury-free years supporting PSA's operations at its flagship container terminal in Singapore.'

PSA Singapore is a fully-owned subsidiary of PSA International, a global leader in port operations, with presence spanning Europe, the Americas and Asia. Its Singapore flagship operates 57 berths at the world's busiest transhipment hub, with a handling capacity of 40 million TEUs per annum.

Each year PSA holds a series of events to encourage its partners and suppliers to strive collaboratively to reach safety targets and celebrate those that demonstrate exemplary safety performance. In addition to receiving the IGH Injury Free 2015 award at PSA's Safety Launch 2016, Toll Global Logistics has also been commended by the Safety Committee for IGH Suppliers for its performance during 2015. Toll Global Logistics Super B-Double operator Yap Foo Yong was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation for demonstrating an exceptional commitment to safety by remaining incident and infringement-free for the past year.

Toll has been operating the only two Super B-Double combinations in Singapore - the largest road transport vehicle currently being used in the country - since 2014.
