We are excited to announce that Yewande Komolafe and Eric Kim are joining the Food department and NYT Cooking as cooking writers. Already familiar to - and beloved by - our team and readers, Yewande and Eric will develop original recipes, adapt ones that come out of our reporting, write stories about home cooking and share tips through the Food report, NYT Cooking, video and social media.

Yewande has written many wonderful recipes and articles for us, including her 10 essential Nigerian recipes. She's compiled even more of her favorites into her first solo cookbook, which she's wrapping up now. She has also contributed to 11 other cookbooks as a recipe developer and tester, and has played those roles for other publications, including Taste, Bon Appétit and Saveur, as well as the James Beard Foundation. Yewande, who is also a food stylist, received her professional culinary degree from Baltimore International College, following her graduation from the University of Maryland, and continued her culinary and pastry training in restaurants.
