Michael J. Fox, Mario Batali, John Mcenroe, Tiesto, and Jeff Gordon Will Join Henrik Lundqvist for New MSG Network Series "The Mask with Henrik Lundqvist"

Five-Episode Season To Premiere Monday, February 16

New York, NY (January 23, 2015) - An all-star lineup will join New York Rangers star goaltender Henrik Lundqvist for a five-episode season of the new MSG Networks series "The Mask with Henrik Lundqvist." The half-hour episodes feature Lundqvist in one-on-one interviews with his celebrity friends as they design one-of-a-kind goalie masks that Lundqvist will wear in upcoming games this season. Each mask is representative of the guest and their favorite things. Discussing everything from sports and pop culture to cooking and family, Lundqvist livens up the conversation as he goes into the kitchen with Mario Batali, gets on the ice with Michael J. Fox, steps into the DJ booth with Tiësto, goes car racing with Jeff Gordon, and challenges John McEnroe to a friendly game of tennis. After each mask is worn in a game, they will be auctioned off for charity with all proceeds benefiting The Henrik Lundqvist Foundation and The Garden of Dreams Foundation. "The Mask with Henrik Lundqvist" is produced by Stick Figure Productions and will premiere on Monday, February 16 after the Rangers/Islanders game.

"I've been working on this project for over a year and I'm really excited to be able to share it with Rangers fans," said Lundqvist. "I thought it would be a lot of fun to sit down with friends to design original masks that I will then wear in games and auction off to raise money for disadvantaged children."

"We are so glad that Henrik came to us with this unique project and know that Rangers fans will enjoy stepping off the ice with him in this series," said Dan Ronayne, executive vice president and general manager, MSG Networks. "Whether it's in a race car with Jeff Gordon or in the kitchen with Mario Batali, working on a project that he is so passionate about will really show fans a side of Henrik that they've never seen."

Lundqvist, 32, is the only goaltender in NHL history who has won at least 20 games in each of his first 10 seasons. Lundqvist is the Rangers' all-time leader in wins (332), shutouts (55), save percentage (.920), playoff appearances (92), and playoff wins (43). He has won more games than any goaltender who has spent his entire career with only one franchise in NHL history. Last season, Lundqvist led the Rangers to the Stanley Cup Final and became the first goaltender in NHL history to win five consecutive Game 7s. The seven-time Rangers' MVP was a finalist for the Vezina Trophy as the league's top goaltender in five of his first nine NHL seasons, and won the award in 2011-12. Lundqvist has also represented Sweden three times at the Winter Olympics (2006, 2010, 2014), winning a gold medal in 2006 in Torino, Italy and a silver medal in 2014 in Sochi, Russia.
