TOKYO - Mitsubishi Electric Corporation (TOKYO: 6503) announced today that the JIS Q 9100/ ISO9001 certifications (JIS Q 9100:2016 & JIS Q 9001:2015 (ISO9001:2015); registration number BSKA0029) for the company's Communication Systems Center have been temporarily suspended by Defense Structure Improvement Foundation, effective January 13, in connection with the certain quality-related conduct at the center, as announced on October 20.

Mitsubishi Electric is currently taking corrective actions to enable the certification to be promptly reinstated.

The JIS Q 9100 is an international standard for quality management systems specific to the aerospace and defense industry and the ISO 9001 certification is an international standard for quality management systems.
