TDK to Restructure Bases in Structural Reform Drive
January 31, 2012
TDK Corporation (President: Takehiro Kamigama) today
announced that it will restructure the bases mentioned
below in the Akita region as part of ongoing structural
reforms designed to strengthen manufacturing capabilities
and improve earnings power.
Objective
In response to structural economic changes, an
increasingly fierce global business environment and other
developments, TDK is currently implementing structural
reforms to remain competitive in the global market. As
part of these reforms, TDK has decided to restructure
business sites in the Akita region of Japan.
Business Sites to Be Restructured
TDK will consolidate and close the following three
business sites in the Akita region.

Plan to close by the end of March 2013 after
integrating into the other bases in Japan.

ultra-high-voltage capacitors

integrating into the other bases.

Plan to close by the end of March 2013 after
integrating into the other bases in Japan.
