CESSATION OF ALTERNATE DIRECTOR

The Board of Directors (the "Board") of Taung Gold International Limited (the "Company") announces that Mr. Neil Andrew Herrick ("Mr. Herrick") has ceased to be alternate director to Mr. Christiaan Rudolph de Wet de Bruin ("Mr. de Bruin"), an executive director and Co-chairman of the Company with effect from 18 September 2020. Mr. de Bruin has determined the cessation of Mr. Herrick as his alternate director as Mr. de Bruin can attend to the matters of the Board without the support of an alternate director.

There is no matter relating to Mr. Herrick ceasing to be an alternate director that needs to be brought to the attention of the Company's shareholders.

The Board would like express its gratitude to Mr. Herrick for his valuable contributions to the Company during his tenure.
