~TUV NORD Mumbai certifies hydro generating stations at Bhira, Bhivpuri & Khopoli for successful implementation of QMS: ISO 9001:2008, EMS: ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS: 18001:2007 ~

These certifications are awarded to organizations who have improved their health and safety performance and demonstrated sensitivity and responsiveness towards their customers, employees and the society at large. The Company is mitted towards facilitating a healthy working environment.

Tata Power strives to realize standards basis industry norms in management systems and has always ensured constant improvement and innovation across its operations. In sync with Tata Power's policy, the Integrated Management System (IMS) policy was signed on June 15, 2013. In less than four months, the hydro team successfully integrated all the three systems and pleted the certification audit.

Tata Power missioned its first hydro-electric power generating station at Khopoli in the year 1915 with an installed capacity of 40 MW, which was subsequently upgraded to 72 MW. The Company missioned its second hydro power station at Bhivpuri with an installed capacity of 40 MW in 1922 and the third of 90 MW capacity at Bhira in 1927. Both stations were upgraded to 72 MW and 150 MW respectively. The Company has a total installed generation capacity of 1106 MW in the clean and renewable energy sector and aims to add 20 - 25% contribution from clean energy sources.
