Symbol Mining Limited announced that its high-grade zinc and lead Macy Project, at the Imperial Joint Venture (SL1 60%), has received final approval of the Mining Lease (ML 27599), from the Nigerian Mining Cadastral Office and full scale mining operations are now underway. The Mining Lease and Environmental Protection and Rehabilitation Plan approvals conclude several months of dedicated work by the Imperial Joint Venture team in partnership with an independent environmental group, local communities and wider stakeholder groups.

The Company has 60% interest in two base metal projects: the Imperial Project and the Tawny Project. The Imperial Project is located on the border of Bauchi and Taraba states approximately 420 kilometers east and northeast of Abuja. The Tawny Project is located approximately 150 kilometers east and southeast of Abuja.
