Sweett : August 15, 2016 Sweett Group appointed on Great Ormond Street Hospital’s Phase 4 Redevelopment Project

Sweett Group, the provider of professional services for the construction and management of building and infrastructure projects, is delighted to be appointed by Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) to provide Trust Cost Adviser services on its Phase 4 redevelopment project in Central London.

GOSH is one of the world's leading children's hospitals and the UK's only academic biomedical research centre specialising in paediatrics. Phase 4 is part of its long-term development masterplan to redevelop the site and maintain the hospital's world-wide position at the forefront of paediatric care and research.

The project is to be procured through a design competition with main contractor and designer teams and will deliver 100 additional beds, outpatient rooms, radiology and laboratory suites, education facilities, including a new school, an activity centre, office space and a roof garden. The design competition will be run through RIBA Competitions and Sweett Group is acting in conjunction with a small group of consultants advising GOSH.

The project is joint-funded by the Department of Health and the GOSH Charity and will start on site in early 2019 with completion in 2022.
