SHKP named Caring Company for 14th straight year with 75 designations across the Group

Sun Hung Kai Properties Limited (SHKP) was named a Caring Company for the 14th straight year as a result of its commitment to corporate social responsibility and Building Homes with Heart spirit leading to many initiatives with charities and community organizations. This year, 75 SHKP subsidiaries, shopping malls, office buildings, hotels and residential developments under management were recognized in the Caring Company Scheme, which is meant to create a strong sense of corporate social responsibility by boosting business connections with the public and the social service sector.

A total of 59 SHKP entities have had Caring Company titles for five years or more and 21 have had it for at least a decade, including Kai Shing Management Services Limited, the Hong Yip Service Company Limited, Wilson Parking (Holdings) Limited, The Royal Garden, Sanfield (Management) Limited and Ma Wan Park.

SHKP makes meaningful contributions to society by promoting reading and holistic development, healthy and sustainable living and care for the underprivileged. The SHKP Reading Club attracts wider interest to reading with diverse events including the 2016/17 Young Writers' Debut Competition to showcase budding authors and the 2016 'A Letter to My Family' SHKP Book Review Competition to encourage closer relationships. There will be a fifth SHKP Vertical Run for Charity and the Group will be a title and charity sponsor of the Sun Hung Kai Properties Hong Kong Cyclothon again to encourage more people to exercise for good. These social objectives will continue motivating SHKP to use resources and networks efficiently to serve the community in the long term while engaging staff in worthy social causes.
