Spectris plc announced following the completion of its portfolio rationalization, Derek Harding, will be taking up a new role as President of its enlarged Spectris Scientific Division, which encompasses its Malvern Panalytical, PMS and Servomex businesses. Derek has served as an executive director and Chief Financial Officer of Spectris since March 2019 and will continue in his role as chief financial officer until 1 September 2024 when he will start his new position. Derek will remain on the Board as an Executive Director of the Company in his new role and will continue to report to Andrew Heath, Chief Executive.

Mark Fleiner, the current President of Spectris Scientific, will leave the Group later in 2024 following five years with the Group during which he has overseen a compound annual growth rate of 6.5%. Angela Noon will join the company as an executive director on 1 September 2024. Angela is currently CFO at Royal Mail and was previously CFO for Siemens UK & Ireland.

Angela, a chartered management accountant, will bring more than 25 years of finance and commercial experience to the role, as well as considerable and highly relevant industrial end-market experience. She is also currently a member of the Supervisory Board of Just Eat Takeaway N.V. and Chair of their Audit Committee. Prior to joining the Royal Mail, Angela spent over 20 years in various international leadership roles at Siemens AG in digitalization, industrial software and business development.
