Solvay announces that it has teamed up with Kiitosimeon and Adams Logistics to reduce the carbon footprint of its Voikkaa site in Finland by switching transport fuel from diesel to biofuel in the first quarter of 2024.

This change will result in a significant annual reduction of over 700 tonnes of CO2 emissions, representing a reduction of over 80% in the site's transport carbon footprint.

Featuring high-productivity hydrogen peroxide technology, the Voikkaa site has an annual capacity of 85 kilotons, making it the largest hydrogen peroxide unit in Finland and one of the largest in Europe.
