Skanska AB has signed a seven-year highways maintenance contract with Somerset County Council, in the south west of England. The total value over the course of the contract will be GBP 175 million, about SEK 2.0 billion. The first two years of revenue, GBP 50 million, about SEK 570 million, will be included in order bookings for Skanska UK in the first quarter 2017. Skanska will continue to provide a wide range of highway services including structural and routine maintenance, winter and emergency services and maintenance design. The contract will run from April 1, 2017 to March 31, 2024, with extension options for up to a further three years.
