SIRIUS NOMINATES ZENITH PACIFIC AS PREFERRED TENDERER FOR POWER STATION Key points

 Zenith Pacific nominated as preferred tenderer for the 16MW

nominal capacity Nova power station

 Zenith Pacific to install a 20 Megawatt diesel power station combined with a 6.7 Megawatt photovoltaic solar power station.

 Diesel power station to be dual fuel gas compatible

Sirius Resources NL (ASX:SIR) ("Sirius" or the "Company") advises that it has nominated Zenith Pacific as the preferred tenderer for the Nova power station.
Power for the Nova nickel mine will be provided by a Zenith Pacific 20
Megawatt diesel power station combined with a photovoltaic (PV) 6.7
Megawatt solar power station. The diesel power station will be diesel/gas dual
fuel compatible.
The solar power station will be installed and commissioned by Australian based Zenith Pacific and Solea AG, a German company specialising in solar power station design and installation with a vast amount of international experience. Zenith Pacific will own, operate and maintain both the solar power station and the diesel power station.
Zenith, together with Solea will be delivering the solar station with:

 zero capital cost to Sirius

 8,000 tonnes per year of CO2-e not emitted - the equivalent of

1,700 fewer cars on the road

 over 3 million litres of diesel savings per year

 proportionally fewer road trains delivering diesel

 the highest efficiency PV panels currently available

 solar generation of about 12.5 million kilowatts per year

 installed and commissioned within 20 weeks

Sirius considers the power component of the Nova nickel mine to set a new standard for future diesel/gas/solar remote power stations because this is the first time a project of this nature has been commercially viable and not reliant on subsidies or grants.

This power solution will be delivered for a cost much lower than previously available thus providing the Nova nickel mine with tangible and substantial net cost savings and therefore benefiting Sirius shareholders.
